With 1000 pounders never release below 1500' or you'll blow yourself out of the sky
If your strafing a heavily armed airfield never return for a second run
Never fly straight and level in the combat zone

This is far more satisfactory:
Took that screenshot ages ago, probably shortly after the Halifax model was produced by The Firm. It's still one of my favourites.

Moggy. The Gladiator was never a bomber of any type.
Maybe that's the problem?
