A little OT, and I don't know what it's worth to you, but gog.com has IL2: 1946 for $10, and it works on Windows 7 and I'm pretty sure doesn't have Securom or any other invasive copy protection.

That's correct. I bought IL-2: 1946 at BestBuy for $10 a couple of years ago and I was thrilled it worked with no issues at all on Win7. I don't even need the disc in the drive to run it.

Thanks, indeed. I have never flown heavy metal, except Boeing 377, C-130 and now this vintage 737. I'm finally considering 737 NGX. I guess I've grown up enough to fly a liner with FMC. skyisfalling

UPDATE:
I figured out my problem, when I did the last IL2-1946 patch dance I missed the 4.08 patch, I just did a fresh install and patch dance and things are working, woohoo! hope to get some IL2 battle screenies soon.

Glad to hear that you solved your problem. We try to keep a patching guide for 1946 up to date at M4T so you may want to keep this handy for future reference. smile
