Agreed looked good. But as weapons are attached to the frame and depending the weapon, wouldn't it be viable to have some sort of background noise from firing them. induction of noise from parts physically touching other parts of the spacecraft either in the atmosphere of the cockpit or out.

We get a hum in from flourescent tubes, let alone a massive draw of energy to fire a weapon.

That HUD is different than the HUD in your cockpit pack eh?

It should be the same, but I'll double check the next chance I get. As for the sounds, I may go back and add a sound event to the weapons, but it's gonna be subtle.

Nice looking cockpit. Not the default one, is it? If not, where does one get it?

I agree. With Laser firing you might hear some kind of tranformer working as the electricity required for a powerful laser beam needs to be quite high. And maybe you would hear some small particles hitting frame as you pass through the debris field of the destroyed ship.

But overall an awesome vid. Well done.

The afterburner is the F-16 startup sound in Falcon BMS and in the real jet.

My goal is to re-create a semi-realistic cockpit environment, so the most logical resource is the vast amount of audio from various modern combat flight simulators. The two main sources for the project are DCS A-10C and Falcon 4.0 (BMS).

Be advised, you get back only what you put in. The game is essentially a sandbox w/ a very minimal story driven campaign. The learning curve, especially at the beginning, is pretty steep. If you need any advise just let me know.

Thanks. I picked it up precisely because it seemed to be a sand box. ATM I am just mining out of my starter station getting my bearings. I have managed to kill myself once by warping through a roid. dizzy But having fun getting a hang of it.
