Wouldn't trust user reviews too much. Joss Whedon fans are a bit, umm, overly enthusiastic, and like to inflate ratings. Not to say that the movie might not be good (not really my cup of tea), but just that it will be overhyped, at least by user reviews.

Even with low expectations and cheap tickets I was underwhelmed.

Cheap laughs and action that was so choreographed that the actors had less life than CGI.

Boring, boring, boring.

It's hard enough for superhero films to show enough of one hero and villain so giving screen time to all these will be hard. Not a fan of Thor and Captain America's costume is not looking good and to top it all the campest super-villain is back, Loki....

Will watch the 'alternative demo' of this methinks.

Maybe because it seems like half the cast is Australian? I heard good things from buddies of mine who are in Perth right now who saw it- I'll also be seeing it opening day (especially as I'm gonna need if after the final I have that afternoon).

Meh...I find user reviews when taken as a whole, more balanced and reflective of the quality of the movie
than actual critic reviews.
