Towards the end of The Blues Brothers, Steven Spielberg makes an appearance in the movie as Cook County Assessor's Office Clerk. All these years and I never noticed until last night. duh

Even though I was told before I saw the movie that there was a model of the Millennium Falcon used as part of a building in a scene from Blade Runner, I could not see it until I got the Blu-Ray...and even then it took some effort.

cool

I don't think everyone else knew it..but I didn't realize it until I was told that the bartender at Pancho's in The Right Stuff was the real Chuck Yeager. I guess I had sort of tuned that out..

I don't think I noticed Spielberg when I first saw it, but I saw it when it first came out, and I didn't really know what Spielberg looked like at the time.

A stormtrooper bashing his head on a door in Star Wars. I only noticed last time I watched it.

I can understand that since in 1980 Spielberg had up to that time only directed two very well known big films. As for me, I think I first saw The Blues Brothers on tv in the late 80's.

I first saw The Blues Brothers in 1982 at a German movie theater. I remember Cab Calloway introducing the band in the last concert scene . . . "Die Blues Brossers." Also, in the German version Elwood called Sister Mary Stigmata "Die Penguin Tante," which means "The Penguin Aunt;" instead of just "The Penguin."

I think the first time I saw the Blue Brothers was on 1982 Cable TV. First movie I saw on cable TV was Stripes.
