My first cable movie . . . one of the earliest I remember is the remake of King Kong on HBO, the one where he climbed the world trade center.

My first cable movie was "A Bridge Too Far," I think. My house didn't have cable, but I was really into WWII history at the time and some friends of the family knew that and invited me over to watch it when it came on HBO. I don't think they knew it was almost 3 hours long when they invited me smile .

Oh, and back on topic, something I didn't notice for years were the dice hanging in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

Pains me to admit it, but it wasn't until last time I re-watched them that I noticed how much the background extras in all the Star Wars prequels are incredibly lame and stupid. Even the CGI ones... Just standing there doing dumb stuff...

Cheers

I didnt realize this was Simon Pegg until just recently. I'm so used to the manic guy with a strong british accent.

Band of Brothers has several actors that were unknown at the time who became well known later on. Two that come to mind are Jamie Bamber and James McAvoy.

The most laughable part in BOB is Jimmy Fallon showing up! LOL. "I've got ammo!"

Damian Lewis (Lt/Capt/Maj Dick Winters) is also a British actor with a fairly thick accent...but pulls off a good American accent.

I didn't realize until just now (and I own the series and have watched it full a few times) that this was Simon Pegg! biggrin
