I missed the post and apparently it was deleted. BlackSix said he never posted any patch info, so it must have been a Troll post faking more delay info. Although saying there will be delays is an easy guess to get right in this type of development, and will turn you into a messiah to some people. The post said that the backers had pulled all support, and that this was the end of everything. No patch, no BOM etc...it further stated that only an interested 3rd party could save it all, if one ever came along. The guy was very cleaver using B6 writing style and organization of the information...his avatar included "moderator" and looked genuine, his post count of 1 gave him away Unfortunately that could end up being the situation, if the critical performance patch is delayed much further. There will be some light at the end of the tunnel for the investors if the performance patch, with some AI, and FM fixes makes the sim atleast playable. The investors might start to feel there is a chance to get their investments back, and continue to support the sim. I wouldn't hold my breath for a third party fixing it either, as they would have to buy the sim from the investors, and that wouldn't be cheap. Although it is possible that community modders could fix aspects of the sim if they aren't selling their work.

I must say that I was totally fooled by it because of your very reasons, and I was coming to grips with that reality...just then Banks posted that the guy was a fake with 1 post...so everyone went about flaming any and all threads just like a normal day  .

It would not surprise me if there was a grain of truth in that post. What funder would stick with such a mess of a game?
And let's face it - the il2 name is now badly tarnished thanks to the mistruths this mob spouted ahead of CoDs release.
