Cant get the mods(particular Invasion 1944 - D-Day) to work either so this stand-alone game is welcome to me. May is soon and I dont seem to find anywhere to buy it(yet), really want on retail.

I was quite hoping that the graphics engine would be the only thing shared with ArmA2. Unfortunately it looks like everything is the same, interface, anims, even some objects, and it's just a total conversion mod.
