Ah the memories. Last years Indy was a hoot. Along the same lines as Alex posted, here's a nifty little duel between DB and myself during one of our practice sessions. Once you get a bit of a draft and a run, there's plenty of passing to be had but caution must be exersized in close quarters, I seem to recall it being a bit on the twitchy side. Doesn't get much closer than this.

Indy use a 4-lap qualification, while I think last year we used 3 laps if I remember right...not sure though, as I couldn't remember how to add the BMW sounds this year even though I did last year and even posted about it last year....I hate getting old.
Just curious so I can do some mock qualifying runs and get the correct fuel in.

This should be interesting then. I spent the last hour or so doing all sorts of tweaking and could only muster a 41:212 as my best. I guess maybe if I weren't afraid of dirt tracking at 225-230mph for 100 laps I could run with a 1/1 wing, but even with a 3/4 wing my average times were mid to upper 41s.
BTW, I must have lost my BMW Sauber sound somewhere. I downloaded and installed Darren's SFX and it was deathly quiet except for tire scrub and crashes...lol. The stock Indy SFX kind of blows. I have the full rFactor...any idea where I can get the good sound back?

So, you don't have the ISI BMW/Sauber at all in your full install? I thought it was part of the 1.255 patch. (last patch ISI did for rF1)
rFactor Central has THIS BMW/Sauber, built by ISI, but I don't think it's the same one as the 1.255 one. If you can't find it in your install, let me know and I'll zip up the sounds and send them to you.
