Did a Spitfire ever shoot down a 262 in combat? I know a few P51D's did.

Yes! 25 December 1944, Flt.Lt.John J.Boyle RCAF 411 Sqdn. 126 Wing near Heesch
during the Battle of the Bulge....

back from my shift;

126 Canadian Wing flew the Merlin MkIXe and Griffon MkXIV Spitfires

From the Wings inception July '43 to VE-Day it could claim the following;
4468 emeny vehicles claimed as destroyed or damaged
493 locomotives blown up or disabled
1569 rail trucks in flames or disabled
426 rails cut
-------------------------------------------------------
362 enemy aircraft destroyed
included amongst them were
4- Me262s shot down, 14 damaged, 1 destroyed on the ground
4- Ar234s shot down, 8 damaged, 3 damaged on the ground
and 1- V1 flying bomb....
