Could easily have been somewhere in Lebanon as well.. Was glad I usually got to drive the flatbed truck while there.
It was always good fun getting 20+ tonnes of oversize load trough the caos without scratching too much paint off. One thing is for sure, size does matter biggrin

One of the few benefits of going to Afghanistan versus Iraq was the lack of civilian vehicle traffic in large numbers [at least where I was]. But, when we did have a situation like the above [once in a blue moon], it helped being in a bigger, badder vehicle than the next guy. Throw in a disgruntled gunner and 2-3 pissed off dismounts and you don't even need to honk!
