@Patrick

Some more observations of your new PWCG Version 10.4...I believe now I have the 'latest and greatest' files from "Wings of Honor" website at this link (http://www.wingsofhonour.com/forums/ipboard/index.php?/files/file/8-rofcampaign/).

1) Main Menu screen "RISE OF FLIGHT - Campaign Generator" still shows as Version 10.3. Is this a typo? Or do I have to await a corrected version?

It says 10.3 on mine, too, but if the CL.II is in the plane set, it's 10.4

My bad, didn't change the label. It the README says 10.4 and it has a Halberstadt, it's 10.4. Going to have to have a talk with my QA guy ... smile

About the confusion on Combat Ace, there is a process in place where there is a delay between my uploading a file and the file becoming available. During that delay it will say that it is a new version but when you download it is still the old version. Not sure how best to handle that but, if possible, I iwll try to delay updating the description until the new file is available.

In an arty spotting mission, should I see the artillery gun icon when I reach the target zone? Should I see the eyeball or camera icon when I reach the target zone in a visual or photo recon mission?

Bump to this question, which is still what I am experiencing with the real 10.4 version. smile2

RoFCampaign isn't there yet. When I originally did Arty Spot and Recon missions equipment to support these mission types didn't exist in RoF. The impact of the mission type was really just the waypoint pattern. That is still the current state of affairs. I'll make a note to add the latest RoF functionality for recon and arty spot missions. No promises on when, but I will get it on the to do list.

That's good to know, Pat, and I look forward to when you can add those features. thumbsup

I am interested in flying PWCG arty spotting and recon missions because a friend and I plan to fly a 2-seater campaign together with him as my gunner. It'd be really interesting for both of us to fly those types of missions as a team.

The rest of my post is a shameless plug for anyone else reading this thread: winkngrin

In the ROF forums I recently posted directions that explain how you can have a friend fly as a gunner on a private multiplayer mission you host (no additional hardware or software required). Here's the link to that post:

SP missions to MP; or How to play ROF while people visit

It involves just a little bit of mission editing, and I include in the above post my directions for editing PWCG missions to allow two or more people to fly in the same plane together.

My directions are for flying together on a LAN, but if you were to make your self-hosted server "Accessible from Internet" and set a password, within 10 minutes you and your friends can fly together in the same plane or different planes from their different homes anywhere in the world.

(I don't use the coop feature Pat includes in PWCG because human gunners are not currently possible in ROF "Cooperative" missions, since you need a pilot in the multi-seat plane first, and once a coop mission starts, no-one else can join.)

Hey Pat

I had a question, I might have asked in the past but would it be possible for you to lay out a bunch of flak guns near mission areas in all of your PWCG missions? One of the most bothersome things that ROF is missing is the total lack of real flak, they have the ambient crap and there's flak around balloons but none that's actually useful for identifying targets as it was mostly used for during the war. Playing other sims that have this feature has been great and then I return to ROF and I'm forced to use icons and stuff just to find a target to shoot at, it's rather frustrating. I know there's a limit on how much you can add but maybe as an option for people with more powerful pc's?
