First, passenger train from Hamburg to Lübeck. Addon ist the free Hamburg-Bremen addon from schotterman.

I bought RW3 in the current sale for 6,99 € and so far I`m pretty impressed.

Destination Lübeck reached

Second one is a freight train in freeware addon Altenburg-Wildau from SAD (there is a bigger payware addon available at Aerosoft "Köbnitztal-Bahn")

Cool shots. Haven't touched a train sim since the grand daddy Train Sim (which I hear is sill going strong, 11 years after release) a few years ago, but these shots are very tempting.

Wow great shots kilosierra, and that totally reminds me of the German "Hauptbahnhoff" train stations from the 1990s which I used a lot when I was stationed there. I picked this title up on sale over the holidays but haven't even tried it out, this gives me good reason to.

THX,

these free addons are at least on par with the payware, I think. The only thing being a little confusing at the beginning, that, other than f.e. in FSX, you often need additional stuff, to get a route running.

F.e. for the Hamburg - Bremen route, I needed additional cars, objects (assets), a payware addon (Isle of Wight) etc. If you are missing something, the sim stops with a error-message. On the positive side, most addons I`ve installed had a very good readme, which had links to the needed stuff.

Some more:

Night-train from Padborg Denmark to Frankfurt Germany, this is the freeware Northern-Europe Addon from the Danish community. This route is HUGE, it consists of big parts of Denmark. The scenario ends at Neumünster though, as does the Northern Europe route.

Second one is a stock scenario on the Hagen - Siegen route, however spooner changed the tracks, night lighting and added sound to the train-stations. Much recommended. Search for Hagen - Siegen v1.2
