One more thing though: is it normal my flight always fly through overcast weather?
Navigation is quite impossible this way...except keeping auto-pilot on...(wich i don't like)
Would be nice to stay under the heavy cloud cover, unless there are some "holes" in it (wich unfortunately is very rare in ROF, with the current weather mode)

Maybe you should lower the waypoints altitude accordingly to clouds cover in overcast missions?

Also i noticed collisions quite often in ennemy planes formation...would be usefull to space planes a bit more!

Quick update. I'm working on it. I have knocked off several bugs and got the Halberstadt in. Need to do one more bug fix and then test to release 10.4.

10.4 will consist of:
Add Halberstadt CL.II
Player does not show up on top aces.
Squadron/Pilot: name of shot down AC does not appear
Revert to 1.3 scoring and then review
No intelligence report.
Make sure SPADs are not armed with bombs for non-attack missions.

After 10.4 is out the door I will continue on to try to resolve the in game issues in 10.5. I do not plan to take a long break between 10.4 and 10.5.

Planned for 10.5
Alled flights don’t form up. Not getting formation command?
Make sure SPADs are not armed with bombs for non-attack missions.
Missing buildings in the flight path.
Escort flight types do not show up in intel.
Gotha maneuvering like a fighter.
arty must fire for arty spot
balloon andf WP icon reversal.
Bug: started a new RNAS 3 Campaign with v.9.2, but the airfield problems seem to be still there...
The take off position was "mirrored", there were no buildings and moreover the "offensive" mission route was "mirrored" too
Have a look for yourself:


If all goes well with 10.4 and 10.5 I can look into adding some improvements.
Flight leader gestures.
Do something for aerodromes.
Change campaign file to XML.
Improve opposing waypoints
Needs a icon
player scrambles
A screen to look at the current mission.

Both the regular engine and the AU will be in. The AU will be more rare and appear later.

I have completed 10.4. As always it will take some time to actually get it posted. Change log is below. Email difficulties are hindering my ability to send to Jason and Gremlin. I will retry until successful. It is posted on CombatAce.com. That also takes tme for the post to be approved.

V10.4
- Added Halberstadt CL.II and Halberstadt CL.II AU

Bug Fixes:
- Player does not show up on top aces.
- Squadron/Pilot: name of shot down AC does not appear - only for manual AAR
- No intelligence report.
- SPADs are not armed with bombs for non-attack missions


I thought that these changes fixed some of the major issues as well as getting the Halberstadt into the game. More fixes will be forthcoming.

Using 10.4 version (thanks very much!), I just flew a few Breguet arty spotting and visual recon missions - but neither type showed me the artillery gun icon, eyeball icon or camera icon.

I took care to take the appropriate equipment before I started the mission (radio for arty spotting, camera for recon), and in each mission I was the flight leader (if that makes a difference).

In an arty spotting mission, should I see the artillery gun icon when I reach the target zone? Should I see the eyeball or camera icon when I reach the target zone in a visual or photo recon mission?
