I saw many screens of the Kerbals, it looks like fun. What game or sim is this? I have no idea, but looks good!
My best regards, Kodiak.

Definitely a fun little game with realistic physics put in.
The current version is 14.4 IIRC and it has some significant improvements and big fixes over the free version. Not to mention all the community mods are compatible with the latest version. The community are making quite some spectacular stuff !
Version 15 is currently in development and the dev log looks impressive + docking should not be too far away. Additional planets are in progress as well.
I like it because half the fun is making a ship to do what you want from it and playing with its design until it finally works.
There is community addons like "mechjeb" that can make travel quite precise. But i also like the raw aspect of it aswell without mechjeb, trying to control the craft to touchdown where you want it to. Then get back with your kerbals with hopefully enough fuel on board.
Its a great little game and i though it good value at the full price of 15usd$ (though you can have a lot of fun just with the trial version)

I just bought the game but CANNOT download it! I payed with Paypal but get no link for download and it is also NOT in my purchased list in my KSP store profile! This sucks!!! Payed 15USD for it! I already mailed them about it with the Paypal receip, I wonder how long it takes for them to fix that!FIXED!They helped me in a quick way and got the latest version now and still on discovery! Great fun!! My best regards, Kodiak. Kodiak.

I found the game really lacking in the documental part. No manuals or anything like that to learn how to put your little green men in orbit

Reading the How To section of the KSP forum will help a lot. The basic controls are very easy. Building a stable rocket and flying it to where you want to.. not so easy.

Also remember that KSP is not a finished product. Its pretty easy to get hang of all the controls and the map view is very intuitive for getting yourself to the Mun. Little tricks to get to the mun. Mun orbit is 90 degrees so taking off from space center you want to rotate in the plane of 90 to sync with mun
I usually transtition from Kerbal orbit to Mun when Mun is just about to crest the horizon of kerbin.
Periapsis is the fastest your craft will fly in any orbit and is the closest point to the object you are orbiting Apoapsis is the slowest your craft will fly in any orbit and is the farthest point to the object you are orbiting (i hope i have those two the right way round) prograde burn will extend the opposite side of the orbit retrograde burn will shrink the opposite side of the orbit. building the biggest rocket possible is mostly a deathtrap to kerbals. SRB(Solid rocket boosters) have no throttle control. Its all or nothing when lit. Please post pics of your kerbals !!

Here one of my first tests. My command module floating not long after disconnecting from my prototype rocket. I seem to be able to get in space but need to find the power and way to stay there a little longer Just have the game, bought the last version , and already cannot stop experimenting anymore. Many Kerbals gave their life for my projects! My best regards, Kodiak.

As far as i know, no kerbal monkeys (konkeys ?) and no kerbal doggies (koggies ?). Kerbals are plentiful anyway. They live to serve ;-) But for inspiration there is a cheap design, not very aerodynamic, but has great panoramic views. ITs called the plankwood flyer by Silisko Industries

Trying out a new crazy design to drag sateelites up into space. Its bulky, its scary, its over-engineered, but most of all its dangerous.........just the way we like it. (craft pictured is a fraction of what it is as a whole) Many a kerbal have given their lives for satellite T.V. ! Over the sounth pole at 105klms above mean sea level. (another sattelite is at 100klms at a 90 degree plane) A picture of the satellite's plane and my space junk. Satellite released into its orbit. Deploying solar fins, satellite is ready to stream T.V. Now its time for the moon. A smaller satellite to be released at very low orbit 4 klms to provide a musical interlude to the brave kerbals stuck on the mun in my makeshift Mun-base Whilst Jebidiah is always maniacally happy, Bill and Bob seemed less impressed of the low alt and high speed by their expressions. Satellite with solar panels deployed.

I don't have many mods and like to use stock parts when i can as some mod parts can be an imbalance (but its up to the way you like to play the game) Silisko Industries (Novasilisko has linked all his mods onto the front of his forum thread) http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=6397.0Mechjeb (autopilot function modules) Brilliant piece of work this. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=8021.0C7 is another one that seems very popular, but i don't have that yet.

Thanks bogusheadbox for the links. I had already a few add-ons but didn't know what are the good ones. I downloaded the ones in your links, very nice! But I still have lots to learn about this game. I am a long way from going to the mun! Still practicing to bring things in orbit. My orbits are mostly shaped like a big egg, lol Not to mention all the Kerbals I launched into deep space without a chance of ever returning to Kerbal. My best regards, Kodiak.

yeah kosmos does look good, i think i will get that to have a station in space and see how long it will be before a satellite or space debris collides with it.

I also put a downloadlink at the end of that topic for the craft file if you don't wanna build the rocket yourself from the parts. Here some screens of this bad boy! My best regards, Kodiak.

Some spaceplanes using the parts from C7s pack (including the retractable gear beta)and white monkey's parts, notably the drag chutes and satellite/cargo bay. Dropping off a satallite Landing my largest version, which flies like a brick with missiles and landing it is intense. Also it fortunately tends to have plenty of fuel left over, since I missed my glide path by about 54km. Gear down Just about to touch down, runway lights would have been nice Releasing the drag chutes. Flared a bit too much on touchdown and scraped off 2 low hanging engines.

Does the free version come with all those options? The only time I played it it was pretty limited.

Nice pick of the pole's looks a tad chilly. @ Coot. The game has moved along quite a bit since the free test version. All these mods are for version 14.4. Version 15 is in the works. There are some truly amazing add-ons all free to download with the latest version. Latest dev log for version 15 Features Under Development:
* A Flight Planning System, allowing you to set down Maneuvers on your orbit, and get guidance for executing them. Assigned to: HarvesteR Status: Pushed back
* A Patched-Conics trajectory projection system, displays your trajectory as you fly in and out of the gravity wells of planets and moons (and the Sun). Assigned to: HarvesteR Status: Confirmed
* Overhauled Staging and Part Control System, allowing for much greater control over the ship. Assigned to: Mu Status: partial implementation confirmed, no big changes to the UI yet.
* Docking module Part and attachment system Assigned to: Mu, HarvesteR Status: Pushed back
* A new Part Model Toolset, with support for animations and normal maps for part models. Assigned to: Mu Status: Confirmed
* A deployable Landing Gear part Assigned to: C7 Status: Confirmed
* A basic Atmospheric Engine part Assigned to: C7 Status: Confirmed
* A basic heat shader for engines Assigned to: C7 Status: Confirmed
* Upgrade of Visual models for parts (Normals/Specular/Emissives) Assigned to: C7 Status: Confirmed
* Moving the site over to a new, bigger server Assigned to: Alex Status: Complete
* Alternate payment methods for the KSP Store Assigned to: Alex Status: Pushed back
* A new Sun object (and shader)(and effects) Assigned to: Marco, Mu Status: Pushed Back
* The Space Plane Hangar Facility Assigned to: Jacobo, Marco, HarvesteR Status: Confirmed
* A (proper) Runway Assigned to: Jacobo, Marco Status: Pushed Back, Improved placeholder added
* Kerbal Model Setup Assigned to: Daniel Status: Complete
* Kerbal Animations Assigned to: Daniel Status: Pushed back
Bug Fixes and Tweaks:
* The flight log will no longer show the terrain tile IDs when crashing things into them. It will show the correct "crashed into terrain" message. * Corrected the level of the ocean quadtree, so that it matches visually with the simulated water level. * (Possibly) increased performance on the flight scenes (from the terrain tweak also) * Found and fixed the true cause of the orbit NaN bug. (see last note on this page) * Corrected the aileron action on ControlSurface parts. Now aileron input is determined based on part orientation instead of symmetry counterparts.

KSP 0.15 Released! « on: May 17, 2012, 05:15:31 PM »QuoteHi,
The 0.15 update of KSP is now officially released, and available for download at the KSP Store.
Here is the complete changelog of everything that was added, fixed or tweaked on this version:
New:
* The Spaceplane Hangar Facility, allows you to build vehicles horizontally, and launch them from a Runway * The Runway Facility, to launch from and land your spaceplanes at. * A new Part Creation Toolset, allowing for animated models, with normal and emmissive maps. * A deployable Landing Gear part * A new AtmosphericEngine part type, and two new air-breathing engines. * A Patched Conics trajectory projection system, shows your map trajectory as it enters and leaves the SOI of planets and moons. * Parts now can have a context menu where you can view data and perform actions. (Atmo engines already implement this) * Parts now visually display their temperatures through a dynamic emmissive heat map. * It is now possible to manually rotate parts on the VAB and Spaceplane Hangar prior to placement (using the WSADQE keys, Shift, Space to Reset) * It is now possible to trim the roll, pitch and yaw inputs by holding Alt and pressing the roll, pitch and yaw keys (Alt+X to reset). * Added a small, far-flung second moon around Kerbin, called Minmus.
Bug Fixes and Tweaks:
* Fixed a security flaw with the updater tool. * Fixed an issue with joystick throttle when focusing/unfocusing the game. * Fixed a problem with fuel lines and struts becoming attached to non-existent parts when reloaded. * Fixed the behaviour of the Alt key when Alt-Tabbing out of the game. * It is no longer possible to enter time warp or save the game if the ship is landed or splashed, but still moving. * Several improvements to the scene lighting in the Spaceplane Hangar and Vehicle Assembly Building. * Fixed Fuel Lines and Struts not reconnecting once reattached to the ship at the VAB and SPH * Improved the part dragging on the editor scenes * After a crash, the end flight dialog will only come up by clicking the left mouse button, hitting Esc or the Space Bar.

Practicing landings for the upcoming "Going to the Mun" project. First with a capsule and chute. Using MechJeb! Then with a Munlander and target the Kerbal Space Centre. Mission accomplished Next target, the Mun. (May God help them)

Preparing for Mun landing. Then by accidently burning the engine after seperation from stage we collide with that stage and our Mun lander is ripped apart! Parts drift away from eachother, the capsule survived but no engine or even parachute anymore! We are DOOMED!! Jeb even smiles, while Bill and Bob realise the seriousness of the situation! Here we float in space, forever the three of us, lost in space! (like so many before us, lol)
