I wonder if a drive by view would work in a racing sim? If an AI could take over your car while in this view it could add some fun to racing. As a casual racer, single player only, so much is missed with the standard view system. Add some jiggly to the camera as your car speeds by and voila, goosebumps

in rfactor, just press "i" on the keyboard (i think) and the AI takes over control of your car smile i believe you can then go through cameras until you get to the one you want (make sure all camera things are mapped to a key before venturing out)
