Anyone here ever play this? Awesome little game here. I got the HD remake for PS3 awhile back and have been delving into it more. For a game origianlly for PS2 it looks and sounds great. Your character even has cape pysics and physics built into his animations and climbing.(pre-assassin's creed stuff and it feels right) You even have stamina so you just can't hang onto a ledge forever. You have to judge it.

I've only killed two monsters but man are they impressive looking. Plus you have horse you can call on and ride all over. Game world looks nice but is sparce. I think that was the what they were going for though. The presentation, quietness and sounds of wind make this game immensly atmospheric.

Its also bundled with another game called ICO. Has the same engine and climbing mechanics but its more about puzzle solving and rescuing some girl from a castle and your character is a kid with horns. Kind of a kooky japanese thing but it equally has atmposhpere that rivals most new games.

SoC was a bad arse game to say the least. The HD PS3 version is on my list of to buys. I wish they would make a sequel. They are making another game about a boy and his pet eagle thingy. It looks interesting but man to have a sequel to SoC would be awesome.

I rented SoC for PS2 several years ago, but they only let me rent the game for a day, so I didn't get to play much of it. Definitely an interesting game, but I never really felt like I'd be able to enjoy it much.

I'm keeping an eye out for the PS3 release on eBay, just waiting for a good price to come up. I didn't play it long on the PS2 as I borrowed it.
The first time you come up against a Colossus after scaling the cliff was awe inspiring, I was like, you want me to take that thing down!?!

Every thing about the game was just BIG.

Yeah its impressive. One of those games that does something right with the atmosphere and feel.

Awesome game. I'm gonna have to get the PS3 version. Haven't played it since I boxed away my PS2 some years ago.
