Just built a new pc. i2500k, 8 gigs on mobo, 60 gig ssd, 500 gig mechanical, Asus P8Z68-V LX, HD Radeon 6870 vid card, 27 in View Sonic LED HDMI 1080 monitor, win 7 64 bit sp1. Built it a month ago. Last week windows crashed. It started going to blue screen, then just quit booting up. Finally had to re-install windows.

I noticed after the first build that Lock On Platinum Flaming Cliffs 2 would give an error message when I tried to change the settings. I thought that I had installed it improprerly and considered a re install. I'm trying to change the resolution to 1920x1080 and adjust the image so that it fits the full screen. Right now FC2 only plays in a small screen on windows. LOMAC plays in a full screen, but 1080 resolution. After I re installed windows, I re installed LOMAC Platinum. I still get the error message and I had to burn one of those "precious" actitvations, because the re install of win 7 changed the system id. I hate that activation- deactivation stuff. Here is what the message says:

ERORR:
..\blackshark\modules\me_options.lua:382: bad argument #1 to
'output' (././data/scripts/./options.lua: Permission denied)
Stack traceback:

What does this mean? Can anyone help?

Run the program as Administrator - or install outside of the Program Files folder.

Thanks Nate. I am the only user of this computer. I think that I am logged on as the adminstrator. Just can't seem to get game play to full screen. Ket me know If I'm doing something wrong.

Humour me and move the Lock on folder out of program files (A cut and past will do) It does sound like UAC is interfering with FC2 changing its setting.

Failing that it might be best to post on the official forum for more detailed help.

Nate, Thanks. The admin start up tip did it. I right clicked on the desk top short cut and set it to start as administrator. Then started the sim. Then when I made changed the setting from in game, it worked. I did a test flight. Just watched the video. It really looks great on full screen with my new rig. Thanks again.
