Neat app! The fact that you can upload your own maps/images is huge. Yet another reason why I need to shell out for a tablet device of some kind.

"Customizable icons and symbols" go the to top of my wishlist.

Yep, their version looks a bit 'Duplo' - an implementation of App6/Milstd2525 would be a huge improvement IMO.

Still looks a useful app, even with the 'toylike' appearance.

Ive an email exchange with the developer or owner, he stated that a PC version is certainly possible. For those who like to use a laptop next to their desktop that is. I also noted to him about ideas regarding NATO symbols and possibly something for the serious gamer in a PRO version. Sent him the link to article as well as Im sure you have more ideas to offer. I explained the possible market for serious flight simmers, tank and naval simmers as well. I can imagine this being quite helpful with the serious study sim crowd.

NATO symbols are being introduced into the software. There was debate whether different colors would be possible for friendly, hostile and neutral targets due to the software's restrictions but its possible. Also the developer will be incorporating the grid system per Magnums suggestion in the review. Saves may be a problem due to memory from what I gathered from the developer. Any other ideas or requests? He is very open to improving the software to our needs.

The NATO force icons (App6) or also NATO mission and mobility overlays? These are standardised icons for enemy position, strongpoint, mines, probe/withdraw/assault/move etc - usually Red for ENY and Green for Mobility/Mission.

problem is your whole team needs to be using it, otherwise defeats the purpose.

Hi everyone smile

I'm the designer and developer of GamePlan... just wanted to drop in and say a huge thanks to Magnum for updating this thread with the 1.1 screenshot, and to see if there are any questions I can answer for people still 'on the fence'.

We took the advice of Sim HQ members (thanks for the input!) in the top two features we added (the grid and the NATO symbols) so hope you find them useful.

Would you also like to be able to select the size of the grid (using a slider maybe)?

The full features we added are in the other thread by Magnum here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3586232/Game_Plan_updated.html

We are working on version 1.2 now (main thing I want to add is a 'trial' option so people can try it for free) so we are adding more features all the time. Any suggestions you have could be taken into account smile

Thanks and kindest regards,
Mark

I know Magnum kindly made a post for me after I mailed him our 'hot' news.
I just wanted to drop in here to also say we are still needing votes to "Greenlight" GamePlan on Steam!!

So if you would like to see GamePlan on your desktop, please could I ask you to Vote for GamePlan on Steam Greenlight

…and if there is anything you can do to help me spread the word that would be fantastic!
