Rising Sun (Phase One and Two) are now offered based upon Wings Over Vietnam patched to October 2008. They will both run on Windows XP or Windows 7. While they will also run on similarly patched Strike Fighters, we are going to concentrate on keeping it in an engine that can be purchased readily.

If you have Rising Sun running on XP, this is essentially the same game. If you have Rising Sun running on Windows 7 on SF2, this is bug free and you may upgrade, downgrade or sideways grade for free.

We will now concentrate on Phase 3 and 4. Many aircraft. Many ships. Lots of missions to jam into two phases.

So I should buy WOV and ditch SF2?
I thought WOV wouldn't run on Win 7 per Thirdwire?

I have a Win 7 64 bit system and I bought Phase 1 & 2.

Richie, email Zerocinco and he will fix you up. Like he says, we have it running bug free on W7 or XP.

Okay. I saw it but have not read it. The Phase One installer has a problem I am fixing right now so there was no hurry. It takes hours to make a new installer and upload it.

Here is the message i send you.

I purchased Rising sun episode 1 & 2 for the SF 2 program, I understand that you are no longer building for SF 2, and have gone
back to WOV,I understand the reason for all this, I would like to be able to get the new episode 1 & 2 in download format
so i have a workable addon for my WOV I am planing to buy episode 3 & 4 as well.

Also I purchased a full Air Pirate 2 base and all 10 mission packs! some time ago what upgrade options do I have to turn them
into YAP 3? I don't want to purchase the entire set again?
My os is win 7 64 for your consideration.

I just want to know what is your policy on the issues above, I am confused by your response, thats all.

Cheers
Walt

Walter,

Sorry for the delay, but we've been doing terrains and missions the last week and then the installer program took a powder.
That was a blessing in disguise as we have some problems updating the terrains in RS. So John was saying the installer problem took precedent over any mail or msgs.

Please check the website www.yankeeairpirate.net for any updates or info on obtaining YAP3 or RS.
We can supply you versions with and without WOV. If there is something you cannot find the answer to, certainly send us an email or try us at Facebook Yankee Air Pirate.

FINALLY!

We resolved all but one issue which is on Edward's shoulders and, we think, is just the contour of one tile. The corrected versions now the ones at our website.

Rising Sun Phase One and Phase Two run on both XP and Windows 7 machines equally well and are bug-free. The engine is Wings Over Vietnam patched to October 2008. We recommend that you create a clean installation on your desktop and run Rising Sun from there. The installer will put a folder on your desktop which will allow you to just drag the innards over and let them overwrite.

We had a problem with the installer. It would not accept our inclusion of the Options.INI or the Startup.INI. If you do not have good graphics, talk to us. The problem will be there.

We offer RS1 and 2 PLUS which includes the stock WOV CD if the correctly patched version or unpatched version is not available at Thirdwire.

If you have Rising Sun on your XP machine, you have basically what we have. If you have it on a Windows 7 machine, we cannot at this time follow Thirdwire as it makes modifications and see no real advantage to us so we will replace your old SF2 version if you wish.

Phase 3 is now in the works. New planes and cockpits. New ships. Old stories. Phase 4 will be built simultaneously.
