He is one of my favorite actors. I wish someone would give him a series he could star in and not die lol.

Didn't he survive the entire "Sharpe" series? I'm pretty sure he did, unless he got taken out in some bizarre fashion and I missed it lol.

A good few years ago he used to regularly frequent a restaurant I worked at. Served him quite a few times. He always came across as a bit of a miserable git, and I didn't like him much if I'm honest.

True but that was a UK production and it was set in the Peninsular campaign during the Napoleonic Wars so it was probably watched by about .000005% of the US tv viewing population.

wink

They forgot that he was also killed by a boat anchor to the back.

Yes I think he's a great actor too. Love his Borimir character in LOTR.

Good actor, and yeah he deserves some kind of long running mini series where he doesn't die.
I was just thinking of Equilibrium, one of my favorite movies...and he dies LOL!

He was fantastic in Game of Thrones. You know, until they lopped his head off...

Whats that got to do with anything, lol? So if it wasn't watched much in the US, then it didn't count or happen? Alright then...I stand corrected. biggrin

Ah right, got you now Panzer, you are explaining why people Stateside probably wouldn't know that he doesn't die horribly in everything lol. Got ya. biggrin

Seriously though, not sure if you've seen any episodes but they are good, they are effectively feature films outright, majority being 2 hrs or so.

@Tarnsman, I know PBS showed some episodes as I get PBS on cable over here, it was a part of their "classics" season or something like that.....well worth watching. Daniel Craig and Elizabeth Hurley appear in a few episodes as well. Good casting, well written and good drama. I would have thought BBC America might have shown it? Surprised they didn't if so.

He also played in an episode of that Gone with the Wind mini-series (Scarlett I think it was called). As I recalled he played a perverted wacko. I don't remember if he dies though.

I also saw him recently in a new witch movie. Good acting but I hated the movie. They all get captured by a witch that tries to make them deny Christ. He doesn't give in and they pull him apart with horses.

Hmmmm. He was also in Black Beauty. For some reason I'm thinking he dies in that too but that may be one of the few where he doesn't....can't remember.
