The server is up but you either have to go to History or enter the IP: 70.79.187.158:10308.

Missions sent.

Here's one, tc!

I have another of you running off the end of the runway and crashing into the apartments but you are just a little ball of flames in that one biggrin

Holy crap- you took a beating on that run! And all around the cockpit... rest of the plane is unscathed.

You must have been giving some Zsu-23 gunner the finger on your way past... someone was pretty pissed at you.

Hehe yeah I sure did. Was just coming off target and entering a turn when two of em opened up on me. I was in external view doing a BDA when I saw a cloud of tracers coming at my plane. They were part of a column of tanks trailing the group I was beating up on. I don't even think I lost a system at all, but when I dropped the gear I was on the rims.

So much for rolling on the rim to win...

One of the Black Shark pilots said he cannot reload at a Farp (he was on the Blue side).

All of the Farps in RK & NP, both Red and Blue, have four types of buildings:
Farp Tent
Farp Command
Farp Ammo Dump x 2
Farp Fuel Depot

And all of these buildings are located on the Farp, not off of it, and they are on the side of the Farp that doesn't have the pads.

What does it take to be able to reload at a Farp?

Answer here.

I'll do this right away. All rotor heads should be able to reload now.

Feedback needed guys.

WC and I have been talking a little about how to implement changes to the server while it's up and running. We don't want ANYONE to have to get booted off a game so that we can push updates through to the growing number of missions available.

Originally, I think we agreed that we wouldn't password protect the "unscheduled" flights but would lock up fly ins. Now I'm wondering if the server does start to pack up throughout the day we may be limited in when we can apply updates.

If someone is flying around in there, in a sim like this where it can take a guy 20 minutes to get his aircraft set up the way he likes it, I don't have the heart to kick people out or shut it down. And I don't always have time to wait around 20-50 minutes for a mission to end... so I need to be courteous to the player and to WC and myself.

A couple of options I thought about:

1) Password protect it and post the current password in this thread. This could be updated in the first post. This would allow us to post "update shutdowns" where guys who go in to play will know (or have an opportunity to know) when we will be shutting it down to update it.
2) Post update shutdowns in the thread (first page) and leave it unlocked... who cares about non-SimHQ guys who don't come read the forums? (kidding, but that's how it would seem)

Also- WC is fanatical about getting updates implemented to his missions so the user has the best experience possible. He's been great at integrating people's suggestions so far. Of course, it will get harder to get access to an empty server as it gains popularity... so do we restrict the updates to once a week?

Thanks for the input guys. Hope you're able to enjoy the server!

Say, I put up the Rampant Bear mission last evening and again this morning. Both times I find that the mission has thrown a DCS Stopped Working message.

Has anyone joined that mission and noticed anything about it to pass on?

I'll post it up again, now.
