It was an anchor store in the local mall, and hardly any stores are left in it. Without Sears, it'll be a ghost-mall. But then, I haven't been in it for 2 years prolly. WC

I don't know about KMarts in other locations but the KMarts I've been to in Florida always looked very trashy, disorganized and pardon my French, but very "ghetto" too. Even the Sears stores were not as well kept as they were before the merger but they didn't decline nearly as much as K-mart. I think the merger will eventually be seen as the last gasp at retaining the solvency for both franchises that ultimately failed and brought about the demise of both.
