Yeah, it's probably one of mine as well. I like that it's large enough in scale that you can work on one aspect of it and stay there for awhile... and when thing get thin, you can move off to different objectives.

On another note- some of you may scoff at this newbie mistake but I recently started getting limited disk space errors on my SSD- a smaller 64 gig Intel drive I've had for awhile.

Anyway, long story short I had absentmindedly assigned my F10 key to FRAPS movie taker function- not really clueing in on the fact that was the Map view key in A-10. Either I assigned it that way, or it was that way- I don't remember. Anyway... I hadn't been using fraps on this system for awhile so never paid it any mind. It loads on restart and because I've been off this computer for awhile and had it powered down, last night was the first power up for some time. (Okay, this is turning into a short story long)

While in mission last night I kept hitting a key and getting some error message from FRAPS about limited disk space. This caused me some concern but the severity of it wasn't apparent. While in game I'd detected some really severe lag at one point and couldn't figure out what it was. It abruptly stopped lagging and I carried on as was.

To get to the point... at some point I recorded a three and a half minute long video with FRAPs without knowing. How big could that be, you ask?

7.5 gigs. The same size as the entire DCS A-10C directory.

So the lesson learned here is: Either mount the fraps movie folder into an ENORMOUS drive or keep your movie moments short. Also, make certain you're not unknowingly shooting video so ensure the key combination is an impossible one to hit in game.

I've noticed that Fulda Gap has been running almost 17 hours... I went in again last night and pummelled a few extra targets along the river near a bridge that I think EP and Bast had been working on- There was a column of tanks that had been destroyed (all but 2) alongside another untouched column (which are now all destroyed). A bunch of missile threats still exist- but it's getting sort of lean out there. I'm thinking I might post RB up for this last run because it sounds like Crew has his new mission about ready to trial. We could give RB one last hurrah and then help crew put some fine polish on his new mission.

Hope to see you guys in there later! I'll leave FG up for a bit longer so that we can all join up a bit closer to the initial point in RB.

(EDIT: Slight change of plan... had to take the server down anyway to adjust some servman settings. Rampant Bear is up! I'm kind of hoping enemy forces get a good run in... if we're back on our heels when we get in, I anticipate some really intense cooperative teamwork!)

See you out there later!

Grrrr if it were later in the week and the Home Run Detby wasn't coming on. There'd be fewer missile threats I'll say.

Geez, my Internet was down from 1100 yesterday. Maybe something to do with that virus... was not my machine though.

I did get mucho done in Thunder Of Kojori. Just need to add in a few more Clients and adjust weps and we're good to go.

I had some help -

Well if the mission brief is something along the lines of "ffffzzzzzzzzzzzpppppppppwwwwwwwwwww" we'll know it was written with paws walking on the keyboard.

Thunder Of Kojori debuts!

Let me know any comments... especially if the FARPs don't work to rearm and reload. Yes, you can use your AIM-9s!

There are about 16 BUK launchers around Tbilisi so don't head over there until the B-1Bs have finished up... The B-1Bs will launch once all red forces are out of Kutaisi City and south of the airbase.

If you want to read the full story check out Thunder Of Erebus by Payne Harrison.

Enjoy,
WC

Hi jdbecks

Eno provides the Eno's Firehouse server for A-10C and Black Shark 2 flying. It is on v1.1.1.1. (For some Internet reason the server is down right now...) We will look at upgrading the version soon. We did try DCS World but it is still in Beta with some bugs that got in the way of our missions.

We do use SimHQ TeamSpeak server for voice comms. Not everyone who joins the Firehouse is a SimHQ member so some text chat may be used.

A few of the other guys will put up a server from time to time. Good to join the SimHQ TS server to see who's on-line and may be running a server - if their server is passworded then you can get the password from the folks on the TS.

Hope to see you upstairs soon!

My understanding is that the latest world (1.2) is not beta but a final release.
