Just finished off Nuke Plant 4. Very grateful to USMC BEANS for clearing out some of the air defences on the way in!

Beautiful sunrise made a great ending to the mission:

Eh boys...

I took the server down for a bit here so I could get some system updates installed. When I came in I noticed the game had crashed anyway so I figured it was a good time.

I see WC is advertising the update to DCSW / A10 Beta... so we'll have a bit of a countdown until that happens! 1 more day!

I'm really stoked to see some new faces in here- though I think WC was right when he said some people were treading water and playing other things until this new ("new") patch comes out (that's been talked about for months)... Undoubtedly it will pull the game together that much more- and I'd rather it come out right... but I'm an impatient type!

Some really awesome screenshots too-

Where's Namaste anyway? Has he been in?

I'll be around a bit more over the next week as I'm home from work- leaving again Monday morning...

WC and I were talking about possibly posting a schedule of sorts in here... Neither of us were insistent on it but I wanted to bounce the idea off of you guys. Basically what happens between the two of us is we both intermittently check on the server and if it crashes we restart the mission. Unfortunately- unless we were emailing each other all day long it would be tough to get a feel for the "history-" I'll come in and see the game has crashed and start up a mission... not knowing that it was a mission that just ran for 3 straight days. At least if we had a "schedule" of missions being played on a generally daily basis- we could stick to two particular missions and flip flop between them, then do two different missions the next day (unless of course one of them is one like Rampant Bear- that can apparently run for days at a time). We would post the sched in here so that guys new what was going on... that's kind of the idea behind the thread anyway, isn't it?

Any thoughts on that? Any ideas or suggestions on how to make it better overall?

I think it's a great idea. I was just wishing yesterday that there was a way to know what mission was being played without having to spark up the PC to do it. I'm a huge fan of Roadkill, Rampant Bear and Fulda but less so of Nuke plant. The butt handed-to-me ratio correlates with my mission favour a bit I guess and on Nuke Plant it's high. biggrin

Anyone who's flown Ants - I think the spawn time needs to be changed from five minutes to twenty-seven minutes.

To prosecute Ants a team of Clients are needed to coordinate the targets and bombers. Five minutes is not enough time to do this with a team size of four, let alone two.

Twenty-seven seems about right.

Please express your comments. We are looking to the new DCSW in the next few days, along with a tool that will enhance the server - especially in the nature of eliminating team kills, and also allowing Client votes on mission loads. The tool is Servman and is maintained by Panzertard.

ummm, that reminds me, anyone else notice changes at DCS Forums lately? The A-10C Mission Builders Forum is not available to me...

Thanks for that link, Mustang.

BTW, I did calibrate my micro-stick in Windows and it is behaving again. I need to try the slew it to 2, too.

I for one would be all for having a mission schedule in this thread. It would be a nice incentive to head into MP on weekday evenings instead of getting nosed in the behind by my stupid AI wingman in campaign... who of course sits on the runway presumably waving at me as I return to base after the mission biggrin

(My fault for straying over the centre line on the runway you say? Well, maybe... but at least I don't shout "2, rejoin, 2, rejoin" into the radio whenever I'm confused... humph!)

Anyway, yes to the mission schedule idea! thumbsup

It that what flying campaign missions is like? Yikes. I haven't played it yet since I got the game in March. Just realized last night that I spend all my time in multiplayer on Enos server, or in single missions learning how to be better in MP.

^ I know what that's like. I have never played a single player mission to this day.

Okay- the schedule sounds like a good idea. Better to post it on the first page of the thread instead of having to look for it?

Roadkill and riders today I think?

TC- good to have you in there! X-ray? Any more earthquakes?

Hope to see you all in there today sometime.

WC how did white bird end up last night. Right down to the wire...

That bs50 was doing a reasonable job doing what he was doing but it was weird watching a 2s6 engaging him at such close range and missing continuously. I watched it fire 4 missiles that weren't even close and probably 1000 rounds- meanwhile the bs just gradually slid to the right... Fired his cannon and killed the vehicle.

In contrast I fly past a 2s6 at 7000 feet in a high speed pass- jinking and generally evasive- and not only am I blown into 4 pieces by missiles I'm also a tetley tea bag with 4000 bullet holes.

So maybe it is easier to survive in the bs?
