Eno's Firehouse is off-line now, don't know why. I'll check it again in a bit...

Eh guys... bit of an update.

I talked to my cable company after the GF reported that all their internet was down... apparently the cable folks could see that service was problematic- possibly because of a connection on our end. When she gets home I'm going to walk her through a couple of things and if that doesn't work a tech will need to be dispatched.

We've tried the usual unplug routine and that hasn't worked so we have a few more things to try out. If we're down, then I'll let you know.

Thanks again for your patience!

Nuke Plant is at ++30 hours now with only Nuke Plant #1 destroyed. Nuke Plant #2 Cooling Tower is out but there are enough support facilities left to sustain the plant.

Here's the problem - two TORs are north east of Nuke Plant #2.

^^ the right MFCD shows the NP #2 facility that needs to be destroyed.

All the WCrew and 104th_Moa missions have been upgraded with new mission/filename/revision titles and Client slot assignments.

The Ants mission is also up for Beta testing. This one is a cutter - it is on the edge of code limits so Please report issues back here in the SimHQ forums. The number of units in the mission have caused cockpit sounds to disappear; waiting to see if Clients will affect this.

Ants is a good one for pilots wanting to take on the night. Lots of visual cues as to where the enemy is - minus Labels and F10 Map Enemy Views that is. When an enemy base is spawned an illumination flare goes off - which should be seen for many miles. Destroy a base before it releases its hordes or two more bases will spawn. Ants in your pants should run for about 4 hours at most.

Ants in your pants

Ants
*Beta*
Blue Liberation Front (BLF)
A-10Cs
4 Cold @Gelendzhik
2 Cold, 2 Warm @ Novorossiiysk
4 Air @ Krymsk
Blue Ka-50s
2 Cold @Krymsk

Red Democratic Republic (RDR)
1 Cold Ka-50
---
A hot summer night along the coast. Normal patrols...

Near Arhipo-Osipovka
A civilian ship runs aground mysteriously.
Within a short time a base appears, illuminated for construction, most of the activity being underground.

---
With little warning the night sky above the base is filled with smoke and red fireballs. Suddenly troops come pouring out of the bunker and head off into the night.

---
Realization dawned on the Blue Liberation Force - this is the start of a major invasion! It seems that the Red Democratic Rebublic obtained new technology and with it they are rapidly spreading, advancing their forces towards Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Krymsk.

The good news is that there are no real air defense threats.

This mission pushes the limits of unit counts. If you experience a loss of cockpit sounds let us know - this version should be OK.

Designer notes - each Red base fields about two columns. When a new base is activated an illumination flare marks the spot.

Red flares fire for a few minutes before each bunker releases its troops. Green flares fire for a couple of minutes afterwards.

If the Red base is destroyed then it cannot release troops. Destroying these bases has a significant impact on the red army's ability to spread.

To destroy a base, the Road Outpost, Bunker and Shilka must all be destroyed.

This must be done quickly, before the base releases its troops. Pilot coordination is the key.

---
Red win: Capture the three air bases - Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, and Krymsk.

Blue win: Prevent all three Blue bases from being captured. Or, if the ants cannot advance due to losses the Blue will win.

'Ants' will take 3-4 hours to complete, without intervention.

Red -
This slot is for CIA use.
Exit now or you will be terminated.
...
..
.

The Red Ka-50 does not have FARP support - no reload or rearm capability exists.
(This mission is up against hard limits on the number of units. There is no room to support the Red Ka-50s.)

Blue -
Gelendzhik Base
Tower 126
Runway 04

Novorossiysk Base
Tower 123
Runway 04

Krymsk Base
Tower 124
Runway 04

Use aircraft nose numbers for Own ID. Default Net ID is 11.

The Red Ants are advancing from the bottom on the coast to the top at Krymsk airbase.

The Red Ants expand out and every new hive fires off an illumination flare. Red signal flares go until the hive releases its armies.

The Red Ant armies expand northward to target Glendzhik and Novorossiysk first, then to Krymsk.

Kill a hive in the red signal flare stage and it will not be able to release its armies - which would be a significant blow to the RDR advance.

Once a hive releases its armies it will fire green flares - don't bother anymore with it. Find the units that just left that base and kill them all!

Novorossiysk about to be captured

Ninja There is this pesky Red Ka-50 that keeps blowing up the Novo base while I'm trying to test the beta... LOL

New mission - The Highway.

It's not your usual mission.

Four A-10C slots (for now - Beta alert), all air start, no you do not have any weps, yes that's right.

Start at the north end of the lake -

The Red forces suffered badly today, let's go home -

Where did that come from? -

How many more of these? Hey I'm getting pretty good at avoiding them with a few course changes to bleed their energy -

There's the four-lane that leads to the coast -

Those BUKs are forcing me low -

A close up for the GF -

No problem, where do I land? -
Ruhh roh

How many rounds do I have left?

It's survivable - if you stay below 200' over the lake. And stick to the waypoints!

If you make it to the south end of the lake -
Fly under this bridge for fun -

Ignore these guys, they won't bother you ---

Oh, there is the highway -

And there is the coast. That did not take long -

Sochi-Adler used to be such a friendly air base -

I wonder if they saw me -

It needs some work. The BUK systems around the lake are too close for most pilots. charge

And enable the external views like F2.

Hi XRay_Specs,
Or ripples in the lake... There are BUKs on both sides of the lake - I need to move them back a few miles. Everyone I saw join the mission left w/in 10 minutes.

I got the idea for The Highway after watching ralfidude fly Riders w/o weps. He was rolling and banking like an acrobatic flyer. Since there are no weps on the Hog in The Highway mission the plane is quite maneuverable.
