Grrr!!! I've been experimenting with multi-monitor display setups last night and when playing BMS, apparently the screen re-sizes during the UI, then reverts back to native res during flight. What this ends up doing is screwing with the placement of my desktop icons! I've re-arranged it already last night, but now it's all wonky again!

Help me please!

Right click on your desktop and...

Don't select auto arrange if you want them in a special grouping.

Also check out Stardock's free applet, Fences.

Yep, the icons are NOT auto-arranged. I have my programs on the left and the games on the right side of the screen, and I've arranged my games icons in order too, but each time BMS does the resize trick with a second monitor installed, it all just goes haywire. I'll check out that link, thank you.

EDIT: Tried out the Fences app and I must say it is quite useful and easy to use. Still need to test it out with BMS though. Only gripe with it is that it forces you to fill in every row before moving on the next row. I used to sort my games icons depending on game type, so one row might be 3 icons, the next one just 2, then the next one maybe five... Fences does not allow that.

I know what you mean. I switch back and forth between 1920x1080 and 1280x1024 monitors and it gets annoying.
Best no-nonsense solution: use your taskbar and start menu (set to small icons, about 15 in the list) for launching. For games, I set up even my non-steam games in my steam library to launch so I can do it from the taskbar as a menu.
Keeps the desktop nice and clear too, just don't use it. LOL

You could also use a quick launch bar like Rocketdock.

In Win7, you could use the library shortcut, but it's still and extra click over just using the dssktop.

Raw, I do agree that putting it on the taskbar might be easier... heck, I even used to put all icons in a folder and put that folder in the taskbar back in... WinXP? But I lose the ability to organize the icons by row like I said before... I would not have minded the extra click if it was still organized. I guess I could put each "set" in a folder each, but then that just complicates things unnecessarily.

I'll take a look at Rockttdock, thank you.
