Some of the words on the left and right control panels are blurry and can be hard to read when having an option to choose between a few selections. Also this is the furthest I can zoom in with my Trackir5 which is on smooth setting.

This zoom level in the photos makes it very hard to see whether or not the text is really blurry. Use Num* and Num/ to zoom in/out and get a closer shot.

When you say that's the furthest you can zoom with TrackIR, is that because your head is hitting the monitor, or because your clip is out of the camera's field of view?

If the former, you can increase the sensitivity on the Z axis scale in your TrackIR profile so that you're getting more zoom for the same head motion forward. If the latter, reposition your camera so it can better catch your clip.

I tried uploading pictures with the upload button but it didn't work so i used tinypic and used my default setting hoping it would retain its original size but it didn't work. As for the trackir my clip is always in the field of view showing up green.

Even at full resolution I can't tell if the text is really blurry or just too far away.

Try taking more shots with Num* (or is it Num/?) zoomed way in.

I used the num* and num/ to zoom in and out and when really close to the switches I can read the words fine. Looks like I will need to teak my trackir a little bit so i can zoom in further when moving my head forward. And wrecking crew, thank you for the link to the Trackir profile curves, much appreciated.

I got my Trackir to behave the way I would like it to but there is a limit in Black Shark 2 on how much I can zoom in while looking down at the control panels on my left and right. After being about 30 cm from the switches I have to use num/ and num* to zoom in and out. Is there any way to change that?

TIR has it's 'natural' limits, so to speak.

I see, this explains a bit, looks like it is time to go back to fiddling with the options menu.

i have view zoom mapped to a rotary on my HOTAS - helps me a ton with manipulating controls and use the SHKVAL & ABRIS

I have a mouse scroll wheel on my X-52 so I just use that.
