That is actually pretty common. I'm it as well.

It can be trained away, but I've just not had time to do so.

Does anyone know the word on the Bushmaster ACR? Would it be a nice replacement for a standard AR-15? or is it a gimmick? How about the H&K MR556? Let me know your thoughts...

Don't know a whole lot about the H&K MR556, but would like to fire one. Right now it seems to be the most expensive rifle in this type of design, you could probably get an FN SCAR for a few hundred less. There's also the Sig 556 which is by far the least expensive of this type of rifle

Most ACR setups are currently a little less expensive than the H&K and FN models. I've had one for a while now, and I love it. It's really easy to maintain, and can be quickly switched to 6.8mm with just a barrel change and popping in the appropriate magazine (my favorite feature). I've got an M4 too, but definitely prefer shooting the ACR. During the break in period for the 5.56mm barrel, I fired mostly 55Gr PMC loads. Now I mostly feed it with 62Gr XM855 SS109 rounds from Lake City. It shoots like a dream, and chews through the ammo like candy. I haven't had a single problem with it. Currently the second favorite rifle in my collection, lagging just behind my M1A/M14.

Here's an older picture of it, previously posted in one of the apocalypse threads. I've added a Trijicon 4x32 scope since then.

Some Canadians have reported problems with the ACR, mostly feeding issues IIRC.

That's true, I believe there was a recall for a feeding issue with ACR's manufactured in '09. I've never had any feeding problems with mine, though I do recommend getting Magpul polymer magazines, which is all I ever use in both the ACR and the M4. I've seen so many people who can't get more than a shot or two off without a feeding problem using cheap metal magazines.

I prefer to wait for others to "beta test" new gun designs for a decade of use, before I'd consider buying!

C Products also makes good magazines for the AR-15.

More shooting run. m91/30 scoped vs ~150meters target. Target is old harddrive!

Impact holes from Ak74. 5.45 goes through hard rives like butter.
