I read the manual on how to do a photo recon mission and then downloaded a practice photo recon mission. I load the mission, set subtitles on, select the photo loadout in the load out screen and start. The mission starts near the target with the autopilot on. I fly over the factory and the camera icon appears in the top left. I right click to get the cursor visible and then click on the camera icon. The 2D picture of the camera appears with a red x through it and I can not take any pictures. I fly lower and re-enter the zone over the target, set the auto pilot on and when the camera appears it still has a red x though it. I have tried the mission 3 times and have never been able to take a picture yet. What dumb thing am I doing wrong?

I think you probably need to be higher, begin climbing as soon as the mission starts then level off as you approach the target. 2000m is the lowest it'll work, higher seems to be easier.

I tried a pass at about 2200 on the first go and then I tried a pass at 3000. Neither worked. It must be something procedural I am doing wrong because the mission I downloaded is set up to practice photo recon and it is all set up to fly directly over the target at the right altitude and with the proper load out.

1) When I am over the target a camera icon appears in the upper left corner of the screen
2) I right click with the mouse to get a visible cursor and then I click on that camera icon
3) A 2D picture of a camera lens immediately appears with a red X though it
... No matter what I do it will not take a picture
