I got lucky and did not get hit by it.

What happened is the 1.2 patch is due to get released tomorrow but was accidentally released to be downloaded today.

So anyone who downloaded is now patched to 1.2 and cannot play on the servers as they are not patched.

And what is Biowares answer...tough luck,either wait till tomorrow to play or redownload the whole 13 GB client again and patch to the current patch.

I say the proper solution would have been just do tomorrows maintenance then after they caught the problem and release the patch a day early....no harm no foul and everyone is happy instead of pissing off your player base by saying wait or redownload the whole game.

Now having to wait is no issue except they are removing mounts and white color crystals from the game tomorrow that people are trying to get before they get removed.

And having to redownload the whole client...do they not know there are people that have limited bandwidth a month to use from their internet providers so that puts a pretty big hit on that.

I have the game but don't play it very much. Is there a server where others from SimHQ are playing? It's pretty quiet when I play because I am not in a guild or anything. It's a little tougher because I try not to go to spoiler sites, but it would be great to be able to ask questions like where something or a certain trainer is and those kinds of things. I would probably play more if that were the case.

The developers made a great game. The mgmt team that runs it sucks. Welcome to MMOs
