Dear BoB, my long, lost treasure.
You & I are a match made in heaven. In sickness & in health...'till death do us part.
Ya know a lady by the name of WoP? I met her yesterday at work, she says she know you.
Her last name is Prey...she wished us all the best.
I never heard you mention her name before...
Anyway, she slipped me a note last night saying something about a demo.
Honest, that's all it was...nothing else.
I swear, it was just a demo.

Yes, I did look her up on Amazon.
Yes..I did check her prices and when she was available.
But..
But...but honey!!!

Wait, Wait....come back BoB...

EaW left me when she heard i was flirting with the demo of il2 many years ago, i went back once for a look ..but she just wasnt the same girl anymore, somewhere along the way she lost that gleam in her eye. I dont think this will be the case for you and BoB though, i have confidence in you two making up wink

BoB is NOT happy with me this evening. She went upstairs and turned in early.
I stayed downstairs in the study when I got a call from WoP. She was done w/her D/L.
So we sat and had drinks...she invited me into her cockpit.
Judging her by the cover she was wearing, I was all too tempted.
We waited until late when we slipped off into the skies together.
She asked me what I wanted her to wear- knockitoff
Anisotropic, OK..how much?
Anti-aliasing, Sure- how's this?
I wear eye shadow too, ya know. Yes,WoP, if you please!
Do you like stormy weather? Yes, WoP, as a matter of fact, I do.
Rain while the sun is still out. WoP, you're making me nervous now.
BoB is a light sleeper.
I can be customized to do just about anything.
Your system isn't so small, ya know.

(Ed's heart is pounding through his shirt right about now)
(Ed's starting to sweat...lick his lips...)
(Ed's thinking about doing something terrible right about now)
(Ed heads to the secretary to pour himself a turkey and branch)

WoP runs beautifully on this wee-little system, using default medium graphics.
Hell, the trees swaying in the wind as I'm waiting to start the engines..
The top of her gunsight just gleaming under the sunlight.
WoP was right, she does look great w/eye shadow. And the FPS didn't seem to care either.
WoP was friendlier than her demo sister.
WoP has a thicker particle than I use on BoB, charge but the little GF-8400 card didn't mind one bit.
So together, we took off, we scanned the skies..we landed in hay fields, we parked under the oaks..and picnicked.
We bombed the in-laws house. Then we landed again, it was then that WoP crossed her knees next to mine.
We gazed at the stars...we talked about BoB...we talked about kids..

And we've only just begun. Best 5 bucks I ever spent. The D/L took about 7 hours.
I stared at the twinkling lights on the router as a kid would peer through the pane looking for flying reindeer on Christmas Eve.

Ah, WOP. You'll find she's shallow. Takes you to the brink and leaves you unfulfilled. She promises the world and limits you to the near horizon. Did I mention her maps are small?

BOB will be there waiting. Old and Faithful!

Actually I have a confession - I play around with both girls. Just don't let Black Shark know. Hate to think what she'd do.

I've had enough time to peer through her under-garments.
She's just a sweet filly just marching to her own drummer.
I found reading around the WoP really is no more than Jane's WWII Fighter, only with
the graphics polish used today. But she does have that 'new' cockpit smell about her. Quite yummy, indeed.
Must be the landscape view, I smell the pines and evergreens coming thru the vents.
The way I see it, WoP is simply a very nice getaway, then you're getting to leave early.

I soon learned that the d/l I bought already had the 'Wings of Luftwaffe' already integrated.
And it was already updated to 1.047-

Then it wanted to d/l stuff from YuPlay, but I blocked the attempt within the firewall.
Reduced the yuplay resource priorities to practically zero-
I'll decide what needs patching.
And I'm not keen on just letting any server access my system.
This 'game' was designed for online players. Just not my cup to tea as mentioned above. Gaming servers in the past were notorious about invading one's home system for their marketing agendas.
That could be true today. Experience counts.
In the end, for 6 US Dollars, and a 6 hour d/l...you be the judge-

Wings of Prey:
I'm glad I met you.
Like a nice painting at a yard sale.
Now I've seen you...time to move on.

PS- You're absolutely right. BoB will NEVER be replaced entirely on this system.
Just as Falcon:Allied will always have a space on this hard drive.
