I am still sitting on the fence about CoD, but new NVidia cards are around the corner and looks like they will be a huge improvement. Maybe the raw power will make the game more playable, but there is the question how much video memory is recommended, if it is important at all.

Thanks.

Hang off for a while before you purchase a new video card ! Thers a patch for the game coming soon twoweeks that may change the game !...In the meantime, the price of GTX 580 and AMDs 69xx are going to drop dramaticly with the release of AMDs 79/78/77 and Nvidias upcoming" Keplar".Probably six weeks from now will be a good time to get a good video card at knockdown price !...By that time the game will be "patched"! duck

Seems the sweet spot for the amount of video RAM is between 2 - 3 Gigs. I know of some who do it with 1 - 1.5, but unless money is an over riding issue I think it's worth the extra hundred bucks to get more RAM. I've been pricing them too, and it seems to me I'll be shelling out between 4 - 500 dollars U.S. When that'll be I have no clue..... but we all know how that goes. If you can wait I'd take jaydee's advice.

Jaydee's advice, from what I have read elsewhere, seems to be spot on.
I believe many people are in the same boat as you, Aullido. I am.
I've always used Nvidia cards....I sure wish the AMD folks would write
more about their cards and the new F1 or Zambezi CPUs and how well, they all
work together and any perceived benefits.... readytoeat

Mmmmm, maybe I should go for the Sapphire Toxic and not wait for the Atomic. 6GB should be smooth for Eyefinity, I guess. biggrin

I haven't played CoD much because of the stutters present. I transfered my AMD 6950 (clocked to 6970) to my wifes computer and put in a Nividia 680 and WOW. I wasn't expecting the stutters to be gone but they certainly are. I'm now going to have to start playing more to see what the fuss is about with the AI and such is.
