From the 397 F-105 lost during the Vietnam War, 31 is acknowledged that it was shot down by Dvina.

...but what proportion of these were EF-105F/F-105G employing RHAW, jamming and Shrikes? (Not to mention F-100 WWs).

From Dec. 1965 to Aug. 1973 - 48 Weasels (2 F-100 and 46 F-105F/G's). Those are total losses. Davis -"Wild Weasel"

Guys, I think it is impossible to bring "Habu" down... Just check the "SA-75" curve.... Plus RSNA-75 (Dvina) can provide track at about 60 km, a bit too close for high speeded 24 km altitude "Habu"!

P.S. What is the difference betwen SA-75 and SA-75M (exept the "dog house")?

An interesting picture!

The question of how to read properly?

On this vertical altitude targets at horizontal distance targets.

As I understand it, "dog house" is "Optical Tracking", but I do not know exactly why it is generally necessary.

One phrase: shooting "from ambush".

Do I understand well that transmitter was to be switched on for real guidance for the last 15-18 seconds? How to compare it to 25 sec. required in Volkhov? Security margin?
And I wonder, in how many situations thay succeeded... Any data on number of Wild Weasels killed by Dvina in Vietnam?

Yes, crossed bars are the parts from timeline of engagement, with transmiter on... About 25 seconds - obviously traditions and what they used to be! wink
This is a part from a russian study about the Vietnam Air war, and this picture presents the mosr succesful way to deal with B-52's.

First arrow up is "Fake launch", second "Real Launch" and last one is "Missile-target point of impact". First use "T/T" guidance, and in last 15-18 seconds change to "Upr." (if target is locked till in "burn range").

I understand how it works but the principle of why it is generally done by this Dog House!

In the simulator, it is not active, why then Dvina with doghouse is made.

As the difference between Standard Dvina and Dvina with this dog house.

confused

The question yet?

Stealth can Dvina intercept, say it is possible at all or not.

I have a chance to intercept or no?

Please check the The Family Tree and timeline of the “75” System development part of the manual.

There were 4 versions of the Dvina system.
1, SA-75 Dvina “five van” (SA-2A) with V-750 1D (Guideline mod.0) and 750V 11D (Guideline mod.1)
2, SA-75M Dvina “three van” (SA-2B) with V-750V 11D (Guideline mod.1)
3, SA-75MK Dvina “three van” (SA-2B) with V-750VK 11DK (Guideline mod.1)
4, SA-75M/MK Dvina “doghouse” (SA-2F) with V-750VM/VMK 11DM/DMK (Guideline mod.1)
