First leaked or faked GTX 685 gk110 specs: http://videocardz.com/31650/geforce-gtx-685-gk110-features-4gb-512bit-memory 4GB VRAM, 512-bit memory interface.... this is the 680 I was waiting for before all the Nvidia stalling and then product name swap. Of course with that larger power draw I'm sure it will run hotter and maybe louder than the 680 maybe even like the GTX 480 did, deja vu all over again. I just hope these specs turn out to be more true than faked, this is something I would be interested in for sure for my single card triple monitor solution, that 512 bit memory interface would be great for CPU bound games like FSX.

And it will only cost $863 dollars! I really don't know the price but I'm scared to see how much it will be. Maybe I'll be able to get one of those in about 4 years.

Those aren’t the specs I was given, but close.
2304 (4 more SMX Units, 192 SP per unit = 768 more SP than GK104) or +30% More SP. 4GB or GDDR5 Ram on a 512-Bit Interface @ 6000MHz (1500 MHz x 4) Power was 275-300w depending on Clock.
If they kept the clock the same, the GPU in theory be 30% faster, maybe more with the wider Memory bus, however they are not able to run the GPU at the same clock and keep the card below the 300w PCIe Standard.
Question is how much they downclock the GPU to keep it under the 300w MAX, and the Thermal TDP. As 680s are scarce, 685s will be friggen hard to find, especially with bin and yield issues.

I'm guessing price will be $599 just based on $499 for 680 and $550 for 7970, but we'll see.
I think on the power/heat scenario the 685's 250W if it comes in at that is similar to the 480, and I know people who SLI'ed two of them with air and my HAF932 case so I should be fine with a single card assuming the air cooler has improved since the 480.
I suspect you are right about yields, this 560 smokes everything at 1080p single monitor, so I can afford to be patient, the 685 would be to move back to triple monitor and I can afford to be patient until end of year if needed.
Will be cool to see AMD's answer (8xxx) too hopefully still this year.

This might be the card that gets me to sell my two 6970s

is there 1 card or 2 cards on the PCB? If it's a single card than it's gonna be a monster but if it's a X2 than meh...

1 GPU block running 3 more SMX Blocks (192x3) more shaders, but at a lower clock to keep within thermal and power limits.

1 block, than wow but who cares about lowered clock when overclocking is there

more shaders doesnt mean anything if the clock is more than 150Mhz less w/ Less overclocking headroom and a higher Power and Heat Footprint.
