He was 83

My first PC was a Commodore 64, but it was right after it was released and there wasn't any software for it yet, so I sold it and bought an Atari 800. Even though the Commodore eventually got more support than the Atari, I never regreted the move. The Commodore 64 did open up computing to a lot of people, though.

Jack Tramiel, as in the name in 'Tramiel Operating System' (TOS) for all those that remember Atari ST's!

I was a little young for the C64 we had but have fond memories playing titles like Dr. J Vs Bird and Marble Madness for starters. So much cooler than our Intellivision II!

Cool! With that HD you could do some great HyperPaintII work or hook up to some serious MIDI devices! smile

I'm still waiting for a proper follow-up to this:

I'm telling ya, before long it's going to be like that Star Trek episode where the Elders have all died and now the machines are old and breaking down. And NO ONE understands how they really work.

"Daddy, my USB lib won't compile, what do I do now? ...I dunno."...

RIP Jack.

I have two in my attick. One was the original C64 and the other had the newer re-designed case. I like the old one better.

I cant belive how much I spent on those games and now they can all fit on a USB drive with no problem. I still play them at work when im bored.
