Perhaps the last BOB2 patch?

Looking rather special.

Going to have to break out the CDs again and reinstall. Great looking stuff.

Oh, I don't think so. There's life in the old girl yet...

The following pipe dreams have been bandied about by the BDG and you never know:

- Malta (A2A and BDG stalwart Osram built the foundations of a Malta map a while back.)
- New kites (there was a flying - pink - Gloucestor Meteor being toyed with once)
- Other projects using the BOBII ('Merlin' codebase) engine: Flying Tigers was a concept in development, shelved by A2A 'for now'

Privately, the BDG did discuss whether Cliffs of Dover might mean the end of interest in BOBII, but that hasn't been the case because while it does many things well, CoD does not deliver on life-like AI, or a dynamic campaign engine. So if you want a BoB based sim that actually allows you to simulate the Battle of Britain (!) BOBII remains your best choice.

Nice writeup, thanks. I just wish they could implement some higher poly cockpits with self-shading (same as was done to Falcon BMS). The landscape and sky are fine, but the pits show a bit of age. I'd pay for that.

Excellent write up HeinKill and truly demostrates (for myself) why BoB II WoV has never been off my HD since I purchased it. It never ceases to amaze me what the BDG group will improve upon next to add to an already top notch, comprehensive BoB simulator. BoB II WoV isn't as loaded with eye candy like Il-2 CLoD but she sure has much more substance at this time.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011
