So I went to turn some laps, before an official iRacing race. Thankfully I went to test instead of registering for the race. Load in and I have no input from my CSP gas. Hmm it has been spiking or not registering full but unplugging the connector and blowing some air on the sensor would solve it. Well that didn't work this time. I'm nearly heart broken by now.

So I take the back plate off, as I was considering swapping sensors from the clutch to the gas and to my surprise the cable for the gas sensor was disconnected. Also the female connector on the board was pulled away some too. So I reconnect everything and do a quick test in windows. Gas is registering again. Thank goodness.

I'm curious as what caused so much tension on that cable to cause it to pull out like such. Either I'm happy all is well now.

So if anyone has any issues with their sensors, check their connections. It could be loose. I can't imagine how long it has been like that, and I'm glad it happened on a test run instead of in a race.

I have been close to pull the cable from the clutch once.
It seems I have must have been putting my foot on the connector at some point, probably not while driving, and bent it a bit.
I discovered it when doing some rebild of my rig. Now I'm a bit more careful of where I put my feet.

A nice modification of the small hallsensor pcbs would be to make them connect at a 90 degree angle from now,
making the plug more flush to the pedal and minimizing the possibility to break it.

The throttle can get some spiking if you get dust and lint between the hallsensor and the magnet.
But it's just to blow on it or take a fine brush and dust it and it will be good again.

I have had one load cell sensor broken, but it was quickly fixed one I got a replacement from fanatec.
My tip to anyone that buys any load cell sets is to order a spare cell when you buy the pedals, so that it can be quickly replaced once it breaks, as the cells don't last forever.

Thanks for the tip on the load cell. I've been thinking about getting one but I keep putting it off. I just ordered 2, I can't believe the shipping cost though. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to have a spare or two around. Funny thing is, I've spare stuff for my flying controllers but nothing for my racing controllers. That will change now, lol.

Yeah I am waiting for the CSP 2.0 to come out (CSP has been out of stock on US site for months) and I will pick up 2 extra loadcels when I do, the high shipping fees Fanatec charge really make it worth "bundling" when you order, either they must own stock in shipping companies or they need to work out a better high volume shipping deal.

Will keep in mind your comments on the CSP cables when I get one though.
