Last year on business travel I must have spent approx $18,000, but not all West Coast of course. Very early days for this idea, but it's interesting - and some I've talked to would pay it to avoid some of the usual large gateway TSA games too.

Think it'll work?

Depends on where they would fly to for that money.

I think it will work but it will appeal to a niche market only. Essentially only very frequent business travellers.

The Valley down to LA, and then expanding out to NV and up to Seattle. Yep, a small niche, but these business travellers booking late tend to pay for the majority of the flight's gas. Could be disruptive. East coast it could work in the NY triangles where trains/regional flights gouge hard too.
