Does someone know if there are different versions of the Warthog due to manufacturing changes?. Do you recommend to buy after a certain serial number?

Only changes _I'm aware of_ are in the firmware shipped. But that should always be checked/updated anyway.

Ive had 4 Warthogs (due to the first 3 being faulty in some way) ranging from serial number 2,000 to my current 7,700. And there have been some minor differences with the switches but nothing major as far as I can tell.

I have never updated mine as I learnt a long time ago that updating firmware is a fast way to permanently break your hardware. Never will do it again.
