I'm not really a gamer, but heard so much about Skyrim, so should I get it?

Just burned out on flightsims (well, mostly burned out on trying to "tweak" them to get them to run properly on a brand new, fairly fast, new machine.)
By not being a gamer, I mean that I am not really very competitive and don't have the best of reflexes, especially of the "twitch" style. My impression of Skyrim is that I could, if I preferred (and I do), just sort of wander around aimlessly, without having to find things or fight someone/something all the time. Is this an accurate take on this game?
At $60 on Steam, I really don't want to purchase it if I am not going to enjoy it.

Yeah, you can do as much or as little of the main (or side) quest as you want. I sometimes go out to do a quest and never get there because something else gets my attention lol.
You will come across band of bandits and people who just generally want you dead but you can always run away. It is just a massive sandbox world and I recommend it.

Steam might have it on sale over Easter.
If you don't want to fight up close specialise in sneak and archery.

I used to walk around endless through a sandbox world of quests, but then I was shot in the knee.

It's down to $40 in my local Walmart. It is a great experience, almost cinematic.

I hate dragons and magic, but Skyrim is worth checking out.
