That's a crazy amount of snow! Up in Edinburgh we've had snow flurries and near horizontal hail, but almost none of the snow has actually stayed on the ground.

Same here at the bottom end of Loch Lomond, horizontal snow/hail on tuesday and blue skys today. Ben Lomond was pure white yesterday and only patchy today. Ah well hope it all has blown over as we have to drive to Newcastle for the ferry back to Amsterdam tomorrow.

I was in Madrid all last week (where, yes, it was lovely and warm) and missed the sun. The day after we got home it snowed....... biggrin

Cold night in Glasgow tonight.

My wife's sister was over from France staying with us last week. She said it was warmer here than where she lives near St Tropez and actually got slightly sunburnt sitting in our garden!

Our ex-battery hens loved it though, first time they have ever seen sun (we collected them in December).....stretched out in their dust scoops in absolute bliss.
Heavy rain now though.

Having just looked at the thread about 18 wheelers being chucked about by tornados, we have nothing to grumble about.

Good on yer for rescuing those hens from sensory deprivation! thumbsup

I used to keep hens; Warreners and Light Sussex. Their eggs were always superior to those pallid supermarket battery and barn eggs.
