You should definitely get the DFGT. Despite it's lowish price it's a fine wheel which despite not being as luxurious, operates very similar to a G25/7. Certainly a fantastic choice for someone getting into the hobby. While the pedals are undoubtedly the weakest part of the package they are far from a disaster and are more than adequate to get you started (providing you can live without a clutch which isn't that hard).
Give them a try for a while and see what you think. Certainly don't let them put you off getting the wheel. As Wedge pointed out, a set of G25/7 pedals are fairly easy to come by and can be converted to USB with an adaptor if you want to upgrade at a later date.
