I'm back playing RS and pressed the MP button for a laugh and was surprised how many people are still playing it. Had some great co-op games.

I've been playing almost every night for Years! However, I only play in one of two rooms.

Which ones? Adversarial is still boring as everyone has the same weapons and go the same routes every game, which are over in seconds.

Co-op is where it shines for me.

Obsolete Superstars is my favorite. I also enjoy _____ Coop East. Can't remember the first word at the moment. "S" something. I don't find Adversarial to be boring except when the rules are set up to allow pistols only. I'm horrible with a pistol. frown

The heavy action in both rooms is during week nights. There is sparse participation on weekends. It's not unusual to see my favorite coop rooms full for hours on week nights.

Maybe I'm in the wrong servers then but I seem to start walking and the games over. Co-op is fun though.

SSHQ COOP EAST and OBSOLETE SUPERSTARS are my fav rooms. Depending on time of day, a good mix of Americans and Germans.

Agree with Mace that Raven Shield is best in Cooperative mode. I've put countless hours into evening Coop sessions with friends and they were always tons of fun.

I tried adversarial a few times and the matches always ended up being campfests. **SNORE**

Nobody plays this game offline anymore? I also just recently got the game. I bought it just because it's cheaper than a dinner in a cheap restaurant and fully expected something I would abandon after the first 15 minutes. Boy, how wrong could I be. I dare say this is the best tac shooter I've ever played so far! That planning feature is great. I spent more time there than playing the game, I think. Good AI, too. Can't believe I waited 9 years before buying it. I think I'll download RavenShield 2.0 tomorrow. Do you know any place I can get mods, maps, and plans for ravenshield? And a community that still active? Thanks.
Oh, Mace, sorry for hijacking your thread. Hope it's not too OOT.

I still play it in SP and the original R6 and Rogue Spear. All great games, you should try the original game from GOG.

The site search there didn't give any results for the "droopy" AI tweak.

But I found it here:

This is still one of the best of all time for the dynamic placement of AI alone.

Plainsman, in your list you forgot Bathesda Softworks (Terminator, Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3 and Firaxis (Alpha Centauri, Civilization (except for dumbed down Civ 5....) ah and Paradox Interactive for some real deep strategy games smile

Man too bad all the great series are all just going nuts... thanks to empty mass-developers of these times, trying to rape series with their #%&*$#, if I had the money I would hire some guys remaking a nice Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon etc. and put some money on the mass-devs heads. I'm so mad I can't believe it... never a PC Rainbow Six anymore with real planning? Yes PC Rainbow Six... because I HATE the console style #%&*$#-menues everyone is inventing. These times just make me sick. The same is happening in movies...

The last Terminator was a joke... transformers (with transformer sounds), SkyNET defence programm talking and having a virtual face... terminator snakes in the water and 2 Terminator bikes in the shoes of the transformers give me a #%&*$# break.

Sorry for using bad words, but that art of series-raping didn't deserved any better!
