1. Well, for starters I don't see a PC version for the latest PES. 2. I'm tired of modding PES just so that all the club teams have on the proper kits and player names. 3. FIFA 12 game play is pretty darn good and I am having fun. There's a bit of adjusting to the different control combinations, but not too bad. 4. Looks great. I think that the arenas and crowd graphics are better than PES. 5? DLC. I put a question mark on this because I have yet to explore it. But at least it has official DLC. With PES, DLC means whatever the fan community is willing to create. Not that it is bad quality, but I am enjoying the hassle of installing 3rd party stuff less and less. Let's say I've enjoyed all I can stand.

Yeah, I had skipped FIFA for a few years, but FIFA 12 plays and FEELS great. I haven't even delved 1/4 into tricks, i'm just having fun with the base game. Having my sons and their uncles all plug in 4 USB controllers and play 2 v 2 on the big screen is a whole lot of fun. Great great job on this one. PC as well.

FIFA + Xbox Live = Hacked. there's a security gap somewhere between MS and EA's servers, too many people playing FiFa and EA games are getting hacked, to buy "Cards" and other BS. main reason why i refuse to "Merge" my XBL Friends List into Origin.
i forgot what soccer game I play,

Yep FIFA12 + Xboxlive hack was something I was a victim of back in Sept (I didn't even own FIFA12 yet had just installed the FIFA12 XB360 demo), but in my recent call to XBL support to unlock the fraud status on my account so I could add points from a points card they said they had put in place some recent controls on what can be purchased via the EA games, so hopefully that has finally been addressed and no new victims will be affected.
I did later purchase FIFA12 for the PC and love it, great graphics and gameplay, especially nice was that they updated all the EPL player rosters after the January transfer window recently, the update was free, and I hear the Euro 2012 title will be coming out as DLC for FIFA12.
Very fun and hasn't made me miss PES.

Glad you managed to make the switch. I've played both games for many years but EA seem to have made the switch to the current generation of consoles better than Konami have {They're both essentially designed primarily for console)
As long as you're comfortable with both PES and FIFA you can make a better judgement as to which is the better game for any particular year's release, I actually preferred PES to FIFA last year, but this year it's definitely FIFA. I'm not sure about PC downloadable content, but one really good thing they do on xbox is 'Live season' you have to pay extra for it, but it basically tracks a players real world performances and amends the in-game player to reflect that. So, for example, Someone like Wayne Rooney may have brilliant stats when the game is released, but if he starts having a terrible real life season and can't score for toffee then his stats will be tweaked down by live season to reflect that.

Thanks Ant! I plan to look into this Live Season thing now that you described some of it. Does that mean it also handles transfers and such or can you still handle some of the management duties?

I've never actually used 'Live season' myself, as I prefer my player's form to reflect what's happening in my game rather than the real world, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't do transfers. It just adjusts player abilities/form to reflect what's happening in the real world now as opposed to the fixed stats they were given when the game was released.

I had £80 stolen from my bank account via XBox Live with someone buying loads of FIFA points. Got it all back in the end. Although hating football IRL, I do play football games with my son and we have always preferred PES to FIFA even though the names and kits are not real. FIFA has always seemed like style over substance to me. BTW, EA vote worst company in the US http://venturebeat.com/2012/04/04/game-p...any-in-america/

They both have their charms and attractions. FIFA is drop dead gorgeous, but doesn't run nearly as well as PES (most of the time) on my computer. I like the interface in PES a lot better. FIFA's menu screams console port. I also run PES on my PSP.
