Hi all,

Been getting a little into driving sims lately, after looking around I'm thinking of picking up a Logitech Driving Force GT.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/597813-REG/Logitech_941_000020_Driving_Force_GT_Racing.html

Price seems right for where I'm at right now (giving it a try, doubt it will replace flight simming as my main gaming hobby but it's pretty fun)

Only question I have (at least for now) is, can I use other pedals with this? I already have CH Products usb pedals for flight simming (I've tried them out also for gas and brake, works fine), and since under my desk is pretty crowded as is it'd be a huge pain in the butt to have to swap out pedals. It also seems like the pedals are the one weak point of the Driving Force GT.

Does anyone have one of these wheels and use it with different pedals than what it comes with?

Thanks for any info!

I use the DFGT with the G27 pedals and a bodnar USB cable. It is a great setup - quality wheel with quality pedals. I bought the pedals for $80 off of the iRacing forums. A lot of the hardcore sim drivers use the Club Sport Pedals with their G27 wheels so finding G27 pedals separate is pretty easy. Works great the pedals show up separately under Windows and are plug n play.

That is a great price for the DFGT! So for roughly $200 bucks you've got a quality wheel with many buttons and quality pedals with a clutch! You might be able to find the pedals even cheaper than what I did.

Cool, thanks for the info!

Just realized that a lot of the reason I couldn't find too much during my first internet search was because a lot people use the DFGT for the playstation, so using a different set of pedals isn't so simple for them. On the PC it seems like you can do it without too much of a hassle (through another usb port, or through an adapter type thingy like you posted).

Thanks again for the tips!

You should definitely get the DFGT. Despite it's lowish price it's a fine wheel which despite not being as luxurious, operates very similar to a G25/7. Certainly a fantastic choice for someone getting into the hobby. While the pedals are undoubtedly the weakest part of the package they are far from a disaster and are more than adequate to get you started (providing you can live without a clutch which isn't that hard).

Give them a try for a while and see what you think. Certainly don't let them put you off getting the wheel. As Wedge pointed out, a set of G25/7 pedals are fairly easy to come by and can be converted to USB with an adaptor if you want to upgrade at a later date.

Thanks, I'm going to give the wheel a shot, nice to have some feedback that it's a good choice.
