Big fan of classical music here. I've played classical guitar (amateur). Some of my big friends are professional musicians (guitar players) and i used to go with them to the guitar festivals here in portugal. It was great fun and amazing concerts. Beyond classical guitar i really enjoy classical music. among my cds you can find: Bach, Brahms, Mahler, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Ravel, Debussy, Albéniz, Falla, Rodrigo, etc..

I shall have to peruse this thread to finally confirm how utterly bereft of culture I was in me youth, being a lowly, shat upon Prole. Still, I love "Peer Gynt" Semm, its a beautiful, Spiritual and uplifting evocation of Spring, and hope, and joy and renewal, its in my YT faves. Bit of a "Scandiwegiphile" too, art wise in general (love the Plays of Henrik Ibsen) if that is a word, and if not.....I stake righteous claim to its invention. Whomsoever thinks that he wrote that word first, speak now....Or forever hold your peace.
Not an expert, just love the 'classics' of classical music. Here is a nice vid I also have in my YT faves of Bachs "Air on a G string". I am painfully agnostic, (don't tell Søren Kierkegaard, he'll just sigh) but when I see the ineffable beauty of Creation courtesy of Hubble, something inside me ponders...."What Dread hand, and what Dread feet?"

I love classical music - although admittedly mostly the more popular stuff: Bach, Händel, Smetana, Grieg, Satie, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgski etc.
...and no Easter goes by without listening a few times to (this is part one of many)
Bach's St Matthews Passion.
