I grew up with classical music in the house, played French Horn when I was older, my parents had one of those Danish Modern cabinet stereos made of nice wood with all the components under a lid and my Dad being an Opera Singer would have the windows rattling but I couldn't play
my music too loud because it would ruin the speakers

I still have an affectionate ear though to all of those classical pieces, I can still remember a little of the words to an aria in Beethoven's Fidelio, where the lead character is locked in the dungeon singing "Gott!, welch dunkel heir" or roughly "God! it's dark in here" it would rattle the whole house when he sang that, but the playing Allman Brothers would ruin the speakers, lol
