I have very diverse tastes in music. I like everything from old to new, as long as it sounds good. Any other fans of classical music?
Here are some of my favourite pieces. I'll start off a bit patriotic, with Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg's "Morning Mood". It is a hauntingly fantastic piece that sometimes brings me to tears, I'm not ashamed to admit.
Then there's Bach's "Air". Extremely beautiful!
A lovely little piece by Luigi Boccherini, incidentally used in Master & Commander, my favourite movie of all time
"The Moldau" by Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. Beautifully directed by Herbert von Karajan

Yes, I've long enjoyed classical music. Earlier today I listened to Felix Mendelssohn's Concerto in D minor for Violin and Orchestra.
I have been swapping a few audio components in my stereo, and built a new table for it, so I've been listening a bit more than usual. Always a good thing, eh?

I've been thinking about Dvorak's New World Symphony, I may listen to that soon.

My ultimate classical composer is Richard Wagner. I've loved his work since I was a teenager. "Tristan und Isolde", "Parsifal" and "Der Ring des Nibelungen" are all sublime works of art.

I'm just as happy listening to some Tchaikovsky as much as some Led Zep. I was introduced to classical music at an early age (Primary school-not sure what the equivalent is over there in the US?) by my music teacher who used to play a different piece every day as we marched out of assembly in the morning. From there I was hooked.
I was buying classical albums at the age of 11 (now 52) and I still have quite a few of them.
Always loved the 1812 overture, one of my favorite pieces.
