I'm glad I haven't read the books yet. It's rare that I haven't read the books before the show/movie. For once I won't be picking everything apart and comparing it to the books. I look forward to reading the books when the show is over.
If season 2 is anything like season 1 was, the series was so true to the book that there was very little to pick apart. I can think of a few instances where there were scenes not in the book that were used to lead you to a conclusion about a character, that you would have deduced over time from the 3rd person omniscient point of view in the book. There was ONE possibly significant incident I do NOT remember from the book, but part of me thinks it was just to set the stage for something that takes place in season 2.
